About the Event
Our bodies react to stress, fear and emotions in profound ways. Stress is a natural physical and mental reaction to life experiences. We all experience stress from time to time, from minor stressors to significant life events. Stress was designed to help us cope with potentially short-term severe situations by increasing our heart and breathing and releasing hormones making our bodies ready to respond.
However, if we store stress in our bodies without actively releasing it, it can take a toll on our physical, emotional and spiritual lives. With this workshop, we will share three techniques to release that which no longer serves us. We'll show you how to let go of anger, resentment, guilt or any other emotion that weighs you down. We'll actively bring awareness to things that upset us, bothers or hurt us through visualisation. Our guided journaling prompts will bring the emotions to the surface, and our movement portion of the workshop will actively release the tension.
There will be optional sharing of the experience with the group after the presentation.
